Nike Blazer

About Nike Blazer

In the 1970s Nike was an exciting and up and coming brand. Nike wasn’t the sneaker powerhouse it is today when the Blazer first hit the marketplace. The Nike Blazer was one of the first sneakers Nike made for basketball and NBA players specifically. It was released in 1973 and was endorsed by one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history, George Gervin. Gervin wore the Nike Blazer on the court. The Blazer would eventually be offered in a canvas high top, leather mid and a casual low top. The Blazer comes equipped with the Nike signature Swoosh on the side. The Blazer has been retroed and revamped over the years and it remains a popular Nike sneaker in the marketplace. The constant updates have allowed the Blazer to move into other categories beyond basketball. They are currently used primarily as a casual shoe, but they once were converted into a skateboarding sneaker. The longevity of the Nike Blazer can largely be contributed to its diversity in the marketplace. The Nike Blazer has consistently been one of the most popular sneakers Shoe Palace has to offer for a long time now.
