Teyana Taylor & Jordan Brand
New York City-born actress, singer, and choreographer Teyana Taylor got her start in the entertainment industry at an early age and only went up from there. At just fifteen years old Taylor made her first dent in the world of entertainment by choregraphing a Beyonce music video for her 2006 single “Ring the Alarm”.
The spiring artist then signed onto Pharell Williams’ record label Star Trak Entertainment. Along with releasing solo music Taylor has made appearances on albums such as Ye’s My Dark Twisted Fantasy and various other collaborations with artists such as John Legend, Kehlani, and Ciara.
In addition to the release of her fourth album Escape Room which is currently pending for the 2026 Grammy Awards in the category for Best R&B Album, the multi-talented performer earned widespread acclaim for her role as Peridia in the action-thriller film One Battle After Another alongside Leonardo DiCpario and Regina Hall. This role has also earned her a pending nomination for the 2026 Golden Globe Awards in the Best Supporting Actress-Motion Picture Category.
She has won numerous awards for her music and acting ventures over the years including Critic’s Choice Awards, BET Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and more.

Taylor is coming back in spring 2026 with her second Jordan Brand collaboration featuring a new women’s shoe. Keeping with the original “A Rose from Harlem” theme, the new shoe will feature removable plastic rose thorn vines, a primarily black body, grey “elephant skin” patterns around the sole to symbolize concrete, as well as red and green accents. The meaning of the show is meant to convey Taylor’s hardships growing up in Harlem, symbolizing a rose growing out of the concrete.
