The History of the Nike Kobe 10

The Nike Kobe 10 would be released in 2015. The Kobe 10 continued to push Nike Basketball into new places of innovation and technology. You can learn more about the Nike Kobe 10 below.

The 10

The Nike Kobe 10 was once again designed by the great Eric Avar. The 10 was a simple and minimal shoe when it came to design. The shoe’s goal was responsiveness. It has a seamless textile upper and a Lunarlon sole unit. The Mamba logo was on the tongue. The 10 had a hybrid cushioning system with Zoom Air in the heel.

High & Low

The Nike Kobe 10 was made available in a low top and high top. The low top returned, after the Kobe line only offered a high top for the 9. Kobe would begin the 2015-16 season wearing the Kobe 10 in its high Flyknit version, but also wore the Elite Low from time to time.

The Legacy Of Kobe x Nike

The Kobe series for Nike has become a legendary signature line. The NBA players of today have helped to make them one of the most worn sneakers on the court. Superstars like Devin Booker, DeMar DeRozan and many more have been religiously wearing Kobe sneakers for years now.

The Return Of Kobe x Nike

The Kobe Bryant Estate and Nike briefly ended their relationship. Many believed the estate and Nike would never join forces again. Talks between the parties resumed and the rebooted partnership launched with the Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16.” It marked the first Kobe release in the new deal. The Kobe 6 Protro Mambacita Sweet 16 honored the life of Gianna Bryant. Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Kobe and mother of Gigi, donated all the proceeds from the shoe to the Mambacita Sports Foundation.
