Rapper Young Miko

Young Miko has emerged as one of the most exciting voices in Latin rap and reggaeton music. Born María Victoria Ramírez de Arellano Cardona in Añasco, Puerto Rico, she started her artistic journey working as a tattoo artist while posting early tracks on SoundCloud. Her fresh lyrics and trap-influenced beats quickly caught attention, establishing her not just as a rising artist but as an innovator in Latin trap.

Notable Start

Young Miko’s first notable release was the 2021 single “105 Freestyle,” an introduction that showcased her lyrical confidence and musical talent. In 2022 she released the EP Trap Kitty, a project that blended Latin trap with broader urban influences, propelling tracks like “Riri” and “Bi” into viral success on TikTok and streaming platforms.

Her collaborations have helped accelerate her rise. In 2023 she appeared on Feid’s “Classy 101”, which entered the Billboard Hot 100, a major milestone for the artist.

In 2024 she performed at Coachella with her band. She also teamed up with heavyweights like Bad Bunny and Karol G, performing live during Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” tour and joining Karol G’s “Mañana Será Bonito” stadium tour, connecting her with huge audiences across the world. In 2025 she also opened for Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour for a select leg.

Debut Album

In April 2024, Young Miko dropped her debut studio album Att. The record showcased her evolution as an artist, blending trap, reggaeton, and hip-hop with collaborations from Feid, Villano Antillano, and more.

Att. broke into the top 10 on Billboard’s Latin album charts and earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Música Urbana Album, making her one of the few female artists nominated in that category, signaling her influence on the genre.

Her accolades reflect both commercial success and cultural influence. Young Miko has won iHeartRadio’s Best New Latin Artist, Latin American Music Awards honors, and Los

40 Music Awards, alongside nominations from Billboard Latin Music Awards and Latin Grammy considerations.

Contributions

Beyond charts and trophies, her contribution to Latin rap lies in representation and empowerment. As a female Puerto Rican artist in a traditionally male-dominated space, she has opened doors for diversity in urbano music, inspiring a new generation of artists and listeners alike. From humble beginnings to global recognition, Young Miko’s rise to fame is not just about hits, it is about reshaping the sound and soul of Latin rap for a new era.
