The Super Bowl Comes to the Bay

The Big Game

As the football season starts to wind down, football fans are doing the opposite. They are excited for the biggest football event and the largest U.S. sports event of the year.

This event has been held on the first Sunday of February since 1967. It is also the second-largest event for American food consumption as it brings large group of people together in homes, sports bars, the stadium, and anywhere else that has access to a television. This event usually draws around 65,000 to 75,000 people to the stadium.

Super Bowl 60 will be located at the Forty-Niner’s Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on February 8th, 2026. After the pregame coverage the event is set to air at 3:30 p.m. on NBC and can also be streamed on Peacock.

Bad Bunny

This year’s halftime performer was announced to be three-time Grammy award winning Puerto-Rican singer and rapper Bad Bunny and is estimated to hit the stage around 5 to 5:30 p.m. Bad Bunny is one of the most prominent figures in modern Latin pop music today and has evidently made his way into the playlists and hearts of non-Spanish speaking people as well.

There are also rumors that the singer could be bringing one of the artists he has collaborated with on his recent album to join him on stage. Some of the guesses include Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez, and J Balvin.

The 2026 Super Bowl

In terms of who’s playing in the Super Bowl this year, the finalists have not yet been determined and will not be until the end of the NFL playoffs which begin on January 10th. Football fans across the country will be waiting in anticipation for the big event.
