Star Quarterback, Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts is leading his Philadelphia Eagles into the Super Bowl this Sunday. Hurts has proven to be one of the best QBs in the league over the past few seasons. If he can help the Eagles win this Sunday, he will solidify himself as one of the top players in the game today.

Texas

Hurts was born on August 7, 1998, in Houston Texas. Besides playing football growing up, Hurts also took part in the sport of powerlifting. He was a successful powerlifter in his weight class.

He would play college football for the University Alabama from 2016-2018. Hurts was a part of the team that won the 2018 College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship. In 2019, he would join the University of Oklahoma.

NFL

The Philadelphia Eagles drafted the quarterback in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. A backup QB role is where he started his career with Philadelphia, but he quickly made his rise to the starting QB position. His passing efficiency and mobility made him a unique and dangerous passer.

Hurts led the Eagles to Super Bowl LVII in 2023, unfortunately they would lose the game. Despite the loss, Hurts was viewed as one of the best young QBs in the game. In 2023, he signed a huge contract with Philadelphia that was worth $255 million over 5 years.

Rematch

The Eagles lost to the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes in Super Bowl LVII. It was a heartbreaking loss. For Super Bowl LIX, the Eagles will once again be facing the Chiefs.

The Philly squad has a rare chance at redemption. Beating Mahomes and the Chiefs in the biggest game of the year is no easy feat. If Hurts can help his Eagles stop Kansas City from winning three Super Bowls in a row, he will be a legend.
