Bio

Towns was born on November 11, 1995. He was born in Edison, New Jersey. The big man was a dominant force in High School. He was the 2014 Gatorade National Player of the Year. His stats for Saint Joseph High School were breathtaking. What made Towns even more special was his excellent work in the classroom. He was a gifted player and student.

Kentucky

His decorated career in high school led him to being recruited to play for the Kentucky Wildcats. Towns would put up great numbers as a Freshman for the celebrated college. He was named to the first-team All-SEC and was the SEC Freshman of the Year. He would only play one season for the Wildcats.

Towns would be selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2015 NBA Draft with the very first pick. Towns would prove instantly that he was ready for the pros as a rookie. He was so good that he was named Rookie of the Year. Towns is a big man that can score both inside and out. His length allows him to finish around the basket at a high level. His shooting ability, which is at an elite level for a player of his size, is impressive. Towns and his talent have never been in question. What has always been the criticism he has dealt with is can he win?
