Fox was born on May 16, 1986. She is from Tennessee. At an early age she showed interest in drama and dance. By 13 she was modeling and competing in talent shows. She would make her screen debut in the film, Holiday in the Sun (2001), the project was a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen vehicle.
More Than Meets The Eye
She would appear in a supporting role on a TV sitcom before landing her breakthrough part, Mikaela in Transformers. Director Michael Bay cast the actress in the part that would change her career. With all the spectacle on display in the film, Fox was maybe its biggest talking point for the millions of people who watched the action flick. The blockbuster was based on the iconic toy line and would help her become one of the hottest names in Hollywood. She would return for the Transformers sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009). A falling out with Bay would have her exit the transforming robot franchise. Luckily, other projects would follow, like Jennifer’s Body and Jonah Hex. Her next big budget part, which would become a hit, was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Again, she would help reintroduce a classic toy line to audiences via a live action series of films. Ninja Turtles also reunited her with Michael Bay, who served as the producer on the two TMNT movies she appeared in.
