Hailey Van Lith is currently one of the biggest names in the game of basketball. She was recently drafted by the Chicago Sky in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
Love & Basketball
Van Lith fell in love with basketball at an early age. Her father was an athlete and basketball player and passed his love of the game to Hailey.
HS
The guard attended Cashmere High School in Washington. She played for 4 years for the Varsity team. Van Lith set many records for the school and for the state. In 2019, she would commit to play for the Louisville Cardinals.
College
She had an interesting and constantly evolving college basketball career. When she decided to play for the Cardinals, she was one of the top recruits in the country. She would play for the Cardinals from 2020 to 2023.
The guard was a leader on the squad. But after the 2023 season, she looked for a change.
LSU
Lith transferred to LSU in the 2023-2024 season. LSU won a championship the season before she joined the squad. The Tigers, led by Angel Reece, were one of the most successful programs in the country.
The 2023-2024 season was a disappointing campaign for LSU, especially for Van Lith. The team failed to repeat as champions, and Hailey seemed to struggle at times playing for the Tigers.
For the 2024-2025 season, she moved on to play for TCU. She had a strong season, and it helped her be drafted by the Chicago Sky.
Olympics
The star played for the 2024 USA Basketball 3x3 Women’s Olympic Team. She helped the team win a bronze medal.
Stardom
Hailey Van Lith has accomplished a lot in her career on the high school and college levels, and internationally. She is a star away from the court and one of the biggest names in basketball. Her future with the Chicago Sky should be a bright one.
