Family Business
Leati Joseph Anoa‘i was born on May 25, 1985. He is from Florida. The future wrestling superstar was born into a respected Samoan wrestling family. His father was part of the Wild Samoans tag team. His extended family included WWE stars Rikishi, Yokozuna and the icon, Dwayne (“The Rock”) Johnson. There was a lot of pressure for Reigns to follow in his family footsteps. A lot of people expected him to be the next Samoan superstar of the wrestling world.
Football
In high school, it looked like Reigns might not become a wrestler. He would play football in college for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He would then pursue a career in the NFL but was unable to land on a team. Reigns would then set his sights on the WWE.
WWE
Reigns made his debut in WWE in 2012. He would become the enforcer of The Shield. The Shield would become a popular stable that included Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins. The Shield was incredibly impactful and WWE fans really gravitated to Reigns. It was decided The Shield would break up, and Reigns would become a solo star. The fans felt Reigns was given special treatment because of his family ties. It took a long time for them to accept him as a star on his own. Reigns would earn the respect of WWE Universe by facing off against legends like Brock Lesnar, John Cena, and The Undertaker at WrestleMania events.
The Head Of The Table
Reigns is the biggest name in the WWE. He joined with members of his family to become The Bloodline. The Bloodline consists of Reigns, and his cousins, The Usos and Solo Sikoa. Reigns is one of the all time great wrestling stars. His future is bright, and he has the chance to go down in history as one of the all-time greats.
