Under Armour used a new technology for the 3, Threadborne. The tech consisted of an ultra-durable yarn which was designed to allow Curry to flourish for an 82 game season. The 3 offered a snug fit that would support Curry’s ankle while he was making his signature quick cuts on the court. The shoe was lightweight but offered a lot of support. The 3 mirrored the first two Curry sneakers in terms of design. After the 3, the line would begin to change its aesthetic.

Before the 2014-2015 season, Stephen Curry was considered one of the top guards in the league. He was a great shooter and scorer, and fans loved to watch him play. Becoming one of the rare players to win the MVP Award in back to back seasons. As of 2022, Chef Curry is a four time NBA Champion (2015, 2017, 2018, 2022).

Stephen Curry is one of the most important athletes to ever play. Curry changed the game of basketball with his shooting ability. Long range shooting, the three point shot, is now the focus of most team’s offense. His greatness when it comes to shooting the ball has helped to influence not just the NBA, but the basketball world. Whether it is college, high school, or just a pickup game at the park, the influence of Curry is evident. Kids today want to shoot like Curry, the same way they wanted to dunk like Michael Jordan in his day. There has never been a player quite like Stephen Curry.
