The Under Armour Curry One “Splash Party” made its debut after Stephen Curry turned 27 years old. The Splash Party was an exclusive shoe made for Steph’s 27 birthday in March 2015. It may have been an exclusive and not made for public consumption, but the confetti inspired colorway was one of the most popular Curry One models at the time. Sneaker fans, along with Curry and Golden State Warrior’s supporters, were desperate to get their hands on a pair of the exclusive shoes. After Steph wore the Splash Party Curry One in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, fans had to have it. The Curry One Splash Party released as a part of the Championship Curry One pack in October of 2015. The release was extremely limited, and it was a massive success. The popular shoe would then be released again on its own, and again it proved to be extremely popular.
Potential Reached
Before signing with Under Armour, Steph showed great promise as a player for the Golden State Warriors. The guard struggled with injuries early in his career. It was believed by many that Stephen would never reach the height of his potential. Soon after signing with UA, Curry began to blossom into the player everyone thought he could be. Injuries became less frequent, and far less of a concern. In his signature UA sneakers, Curry would win back to back MVP trophies in 2015 and 2016. His Golden State Warriors would also achieve success under his leadership, winning four championships, in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022.
