Shoe Palace’s Latest Collab Celebrates Animated Icon, Popeye
Shoe Palace is bringing the icon Popeye to its store and website this July. The line highlights the iconography of the character’s nearly 100-year history. All the supporting players, Olive Oyl, Swee’Pea and Bluto, are present in the collection.
The underdog spirit of Popeye has appealed to a worldwide fanbase since it debuted in comic strips in 1929. His love of canned spinach and bulging muscles are recognized to this day by both young and old. Shoe Palace takes that famous iconography and adds it to its singular streetwear style.
Key items in the line include a mesh and baseball jersey, rugby polo, seersucker button up and denim shorts. Each piece features both elevated style and a strong connection to the legacy of the cartoon classic.
You can find Shoe Palace x Popeye at Shoe Palace stores and on shoepalace.com on July 10th.
About Shoe Palace
In 2023 Shoe Palace celebrated 30 years of business. The footwear company currently has over 200 locations across the country and a successful e-commerce website. The retailer is one of the most trusted names in the industry with a list of partners that includes Nike, Jordan Brand, adidas, New Balance and many, many more. Shoe Palace is the realization of a dream its founder, Agob Mersho, believed could only be accomplished in America. His goal from the start was simple, he wanted to provide a better life for his wife and five kids. In 1978, Agob made the bold choice to move his family from their home country of Syria to the United States. It took 15 years of trial and error, but eventually the first Shoe Palace location opened its doors in the Bay Area of California in 1993.
