In 2023, Shoe Palace celebrated 30 years in business—a milestone built on vision, resilience, and community.
Today, with more than 200 locations nationwide and a thriving e-commerce presence, Shoe Palace has grown into one of the most trusted names in footwear and streetwear. With powerhouse partners including Nike, Jordan Brand, adidas, and New Balance, the retailer continues to deliver the latest in sneakers, apparel, and culture.
But long before the nationwide footprint, the partnerships, and the growth, there was simply a dream.
Founder Agob Mersho came to the United States from Syria in 1978, determined to build a better life for his wife and five children. After 15 years of hard work, setbacks, and persistence, that dream became reality when the first Shoe Palace store opened in California’s Bay Area in 1993.
What started with one store became a nationwide movement.
From humble beginnings to a growing presence across the country, the story of Shoe Palace is a testament to believing bigger, staying hungry, and never giving up.
