The Start
Barkley was born in the Bronx. He was raised in Pennsylvania and played high school football for Whitehall High School.
Penn State
The superstar running back played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Barkley put up massive numbers during his three seasons with Penn State. He was a two time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year (2016, 2017) and a two time Big Ten Running Back of the Year (2016, 2017). He is the college’s all time leader in rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns.
Number 2
The New York Giants selected Barkley with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. They saw him as a franchise changing player.
Barkley was an elite runner, pass protector and receiver coming out of the backfield. The Giants would make him a focal point of its offensive attack. He would play six seasons for the New York Giants before moving on to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024.
A Huge Year
2024 would be a huge year for Barkley and the Philadelphia Eagles. He rushed for an amazing 2005 yards and scored 13 rushing TDs. The Eagles benefited from having Barkley on the squad, he has been superb in the team’s 2025 playoff run. The Eagles will be participating in Super Bowl LIX and Barkley is a major reason why.

If Barkley and the Eagles can win Super Bowl LIX, Barkley will complete one of the all-time great seasons for a running back. He is currently one of the best players in the game, and a SB win can help him become an all time great.
