Baker
Mayfield is originally from Austin, Texas. His football career started at Texas Tech University.
He accomplished a near miracle, by being a walk-on at Texas Tech. During his sophomore season he transferred to the University of Oklahoma. In 2017, he won one of the biggest awards in all of sports, the Heisman Trophy award.
NFL
Baker achieved a legendary career in college. So legendary, that he would be the first pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The Cleveland Browns would select him.
The hype for the QB was high. He was expected to become a star and a winner from the jump.
On The Move
His tenure with the Browns was filled with high and lows. Injuries would setback his growth in Cleveland. Mayfield would move to the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Rams and not make much of a mark. He would then move to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Since joining Tampa in 2023, Mayfield has helped the Buccaneers earn much success. They have made the playoffs in each of his seasons with the squad. Mayfield has started every game he has played for Tampa.
