The legacy of Los Angeles sports is a rich and significant one. Some of the biggest names in the history of professional sports have played for the City of Angels. The latest Shoe Palace & adidas collaboration pays tribute to where many of those LA legends competed at the highest level.
Shoe Palace Is Teaming with adidas to Pay Homage to a Los Angeles Sport's Icon
Shoe Palace x adidas “The Fabulous Forum” takes its inspiration from the multi-purpose indoor arena, The Forum. The former home of the Los Angeles Lakers is in Inglewood California. The Forum opened in 1967 and was the home of the Lakers until 1999.
Inspired by LA Sport Culture, the Shoe Palace design team wanted to pay homage to the “Fabulous Forum” venue. adidas was the perfect partner for the project and utilizing their Forum Low 84 model for the collaboration made the whole process feel preordained.
The Shoe Palace x adidas Forum Low 84 “The Fabulous Forum” will only be available at select Shoe Palace locations and on shoepalace.com. It will retail for $95.00 and is limited to just 1,200 pairs.
Exclusive to Shoe Palace, the Forum Low 84 “The Fabulous Forum” is limited to just 1,200 pairs. Each pair of shoes is numbered to 1,200. The color palette, White/Purple/Gold, is inspired by Los Angeles’s beloved sports team. It has a white pebbled leather upper with light grey underlays.
There is a traditional gum outsole, and the iconic three stripes are popped with purple leather and gold embroidery. There are plenty of significant details placed throughout the shoe. The vamp overlay features a tonal embroidery.
“67” is embroidered on the right shoe and “99” on the left for the years the most historic Southern California sports franchise called The Fabulous Forum home. Behind the removeable strap, you will find “The Fabulous Forum” embroidered in white. The insole graphic is a map calling out the city of Inglewood and its proximity to The Forum’s location.
